Boy oh boy! One of my favorite artists has returned in 2012. Yppah is back with his third anticipated work, “Eighty One”, which by the way, is the year of his birth. This album sent me to heaven and back. It’s much more electronic, much more dark and moody and with new and beautiful additions. Anomie Belle stars on the vocals and plays the violin. The downtempo atmosphere is the unique catalyst for melancholia and heart attacks. Old loves will haunt you down and past memories will parade in front of you. Ninja Tune did it again. Now my soul can rest in pieces… Thank you Yppah! 4.5/5!

Belgian Chocolate…
Zamali is a Belgian DJ and producer. The “I Don’t Know Why You Put Your Hands In The Air EP” is one of his early works and one of his best, to be honest. It includes two hot tracks full of funky breaks and soul and guarantees that will take you higher than the Eiffel. It’s rare shit anyway, so grab it… 3.5/5.
Future Sound…
Una Mas Trio is a musical duet from Germany and they have a long history before their first long player, “Ritmo Del Futura” from 2007. Their vision is to provide a more contemporary sound of the old, traditional latin rhythms and I think that they did a pretty damn good work. Great tunes, relaxing moods, interesting collaborations on the vocals and you can pack it with your vacation-music-set. Don’t mind me… Summer is on it’s way! 4/5!
Italian Nights…
Seaside Queen…
What a great surprise!! Pepe Deluxe return with their fourth studio album and “Queen Of The Wave” take their craziness into another level. When we talk about experimentation and top notch production, then Pepe Deluxe are the main players. This time, the fairytale includes garage and glam rock, surf, electronica and pop elements. The vintage package is all that it takes to give you a trip to the past. The conclusion is that Pepe Deluxe have landed once again in our hearts. One of the best music producers Finland has ever made! Enjoy… 4/5!
Casino Lounge…
G15 is a UK duo and in 2005 they released the “An Evening With G15 & The Monaco 808 Orchestra” album. You will find some great tunes in here. G15 use 60′s samples and old moogs and the sound of revival is more alive than ever. Their music is playful with happy and mocking attitude, which comes in handy, even if you want to relax or if you are in a party mood. An album for all times, then. Enjoy. 3.5/5.
Sands In Time…
After the great success of the “Black Sands” we were expecting the remixed version of the album. And here it is. You will find many artists contributing and interpreting Bonobo’s songs in their own way, giving a new character to this work. Banks, Lapalux, Floating Points, FaltyDL, Mark Pritchard and many more, armed with desire and inspiration, are trying to pay respects to the great musician named Bonobo. If you like electronica, IDM, wonky and experimental stuff in general, then this is perfect for you. Personally not my favourite stuff… 3/5.
French Revolution…
Doctor Flake is one of the most respected trip hop producers in France. “Minder Surprises” came out in 2009 and gave sequel to the long line of great underground French music. Classic downtempo beats and grooves, beautiful sampling and mixing and a lot of tracks that will make you dream of non-existing places. This album is a good one and you should give it a listen. 4/5!
Retro Classical…
Degiheugi has two great characteristics. First of all, he’s an awesome trip hop artist and producer. And second, he gives all his works for free! That’s rare, I’m telling you! “The Broken Symphony” is a quality album from 2008, full of trip hop sounds and musical landscapes. This French guy knows what he’s doing. So, given the opportunity, you can take a tour through his website and get to know his music. 4 stars for the man! 4/5!
Trust Is Everything…
I don’t know what game Merkel is playing, since Germany is all that we hear these days. Same thing in music. Trost is a band which combines all good things. Nice orchestration, great vocals, good looking lead singer and sound like a forgotten memory. “Trust Me” was released in 2006 and contains a number of different genres. Pop, trip hop, rock, electronica, giving satisfaction to most of the listeners. I don’t think you’ll be disappointed, since Trost’s talent is flowing like a waterfall. Check it out. 3.5/5.
